Silent of 12:00

When I was 10 years old we were celebrating New Year. My mom allowed me to sleep over at Tina's house. She was my friend since I was in kindergarten. We always shared each other's stories. We were like sisters. My mom also liked her. So that night I went to her house for a sleepover.

We were so bored, so we decided to watch scary movies. It was  really scary. The movie was called 12:00 a.m. It was about a girl walking home alone at night. She was walking in the dark. In Cambodia there are no lights on the streets, just a silent, dark, and creepy night. The girl saw something. The only thing in her mind is, "Was that a person.?" "Is he or she going to kill me.?" She didn't know what that was. She asked herself, "Is that a shadow of a tree."? Is that just a person who is walking home just likes me."? The next day she was gone. No one knew where she went. The police searched everywhere for her. Three days later, her body was found floating along the river.

Around 11:40 pm my mom call me and said she was coming home. She told me that I have to go back home. She said she had something for me  from the temple. I was excited and forgot all about the movies. My friends were sleeping when my mom called me. I didn't want to wake them up so I decided to walk home alone.

12:00 a.m I was walking home. It was really dark and scary. Out of nowhere my head kept on thinking about the movies. The picture of the girl floating along the river, the picture of her eyes open really big like she saw something terrible. I was one block away from my house, but I felt like I was so far away. My body was shaking like i saw a ghost. I thought I saw some light in the middle of nowhere. The light went on and off. It was near my house. I was thinking,"Is there a thief? What should i do?". I got closer and closer to the light. I started to see a person. When I arrived I saw it was my mom and dad. I was so relieved. I felt happy and wanted to cry at the same time!

At the end my mom showed me what she brought for me and it was a bracelet that glowed in the dark. So in the end, i was still happy that nothing went wrong and I got a gift from my mom. But it was still the scariest time ever.

About me

I am Dara and I'm a 15 years old student at Furness High School. I have been at Furness for a year and 2 months. I really enjoy it. Since I came to Furness, I have made many friends. They are very nice to me and love me. I feel safe here and all my teachers are kind and lovely. Now, I'm a tenth grader and I have so much much homework this year.

I have had some unusual experiences. When i was young, my uncle was playing around with me. He said that this red pepper was  candy. He told me to eat it. I was so young and I didn't really know anything so I actually ate it. My uncle wasn't there at the time I ate it. I ate 10-20 peppers. When my sister saw my mouth really red, she took me to the hospital really fast. My mouth was big and red.  I couldn't really eat anything after that for two to three days. Since that time, I don't really trust my uncle anymore.

My second story is that my dad lied to me and told me that beer was juice. He told me to try some and I did. My dad was talking to his friend at the time so I actually drank a lot. I drank 2-3 cups of beer, but luckily the ice melted so the alcohol taste was lesser. I actually got drunk and I hit the wall several times because I was so dizzy and my eye sight was blurred. I know this might sound stupid, but it actually happened. Worst time ever!
